Somewhere in Queens 2022 REVIEW
1h 46m
Starring: Ray Romano,
Laurie Metcalf, Jacob Ward
Genre: Drama
Leo (Romano) and Angela
(Metcalf) Russo live a simple, blue-collar life in Queens, surrounded by family.
- Quote:
- Angela Russo:
Name one thing that kid does, we don't know about.
- Leo Russo:
Well, how am I supposed to name it If we don't know about it?
It rivals Moonstruck and
Brooklyn; The real deal with family secrets, how they come to the surface and cause
drama. Some families crumble and others
become stronger.
If you let yourself you find
yourself in the film somewhere depending on your age. Shows generational dynamics that is really
moving.
Wonderful soundtrack which adds to feeling you get and nice
for new generations to hear the old stuff.
Many references to Rocky film, which if you’re young
and haven’t seen it will add much to your enjoyment of this film. So watch Rocky before seeing this film. I mean it.
Feast of the Seven Fishes 2019 REVIEW so good!
Feast of the
Seven Fishes
2019 1h 39m
Starring: Skyler Gisondo, Madison Iseman
Genre: Light hearted
drama, Romantic
Days before Christmas 1983, the Oliverio family readies
their the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Come inside, where become part of the
family.
I imagine you’ll fall in love with this film like we
did. In spite of all their flaws and
quirks, they manage to pull off a family tradition of the Christmas Eve feast,
while drama abounds in this small town. Character
development is vital for me to enjoy a film and this one delivers. Fun and
engaging.

Family Switch 2023 PG 1h 46m REVIEW 7/10
Comedy, Family
Starring: Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, Emma Myers
Don’t pay attention to
bad reviews those critics are twits, its fun and entertaining and moving. Switching of bodies has been done a lot, but this
is fresh take on it. I actually think it
gets bad reviews because its wholesome and family friendly. Evil exists and it
hates this kind of stuff that can actually make someone smile or laugh and
forget their troubles for two seconds.
Even the best movies of all time like Casablanca or Elf get tiresome if you
watch then too much.
We were having a bad year
so we said you know why not. It's was fun and easy to watch. It actually
invoked emotional responses.
It was clever role play reversal of mom, dad
and the kids attempt at finding themselves in each other’s bodies like in the
other movies ‘Freaky Friday & the Change-up’.
Hilarious treat
featuring a team of actors who undoubtedly had a blast together filming
it.
The Kid 2000 PG 1h 44m Starring: Bruce Willis REVIEW 9/10
The Kid
Starring: Bruce Willis, Spencer Breslin, and Emily Mortimer
Genre: Comedy,
Family, Fantasy
Russ Duritz (Bruce
Willis) who is about to turn 40 finds himself: cynical, dogless, chickless,
estranged from his father & has no memories of his childhood. Jon
Turtletaub has made such a precious film about a guy named Russel. Someone arrives
at his house and he has to figure out why. Spencer Breslin is fun to watch interacting
with Bruce. This is a wonderful story
and a gripping tale that relates to everyone.
Don't write it off as just another family movie thinking that you'll be able to
predict the whole storyline.
Toward the end you will suddenly sit up, brain firing, and
when you figure it all out, you realize u have this funny grin on your face and
are thinking ‘holy smokes’!
